Viticulture is conventional
The grapes are sourced from the biggest vineyard area in the world, Castilla-La Mancha. The name comes from the word Manxa which means 'parched earth'. The extreme continental climate and range of altitudes, from 400 to 1,000 metres above sea level, are ideal for ripening grapes, with long sunshine hours throughout the year. The low rainfall means disease pressure is low, so few vineyard treatments are required.
