The producer/the viticulture:
Neil Prentice's(the winemaker) day job is raising Wagyu beef cattle, but in his spare time he makes a voluptuous pinot gris and artisan sparkling wines in the cool-climate Whitlands high plateau region of Victoria. He uses some biodynamic practices in the vineyard, although explains that it isn't for dogmatic reasons, but simply that he believes it produces better grapes and therefore better wine! In the winery he works in a low intervention 'natural' style with minimal additions.
