The producer/the estate:
This estate and castle is steeped in history and dates back to 1789. The 11 hectares surround the castle of Dudon and its park and the average age of the vines are 29 years old. Planted with 84% Semillon, 15% Sauvignon & 1% Muscadelle, the vineyards are ploughed 8 to 10 times per year. During harvest the pickers go through the vineyards numerous times, hand selecting only the ripest grapes on different days limiting the total production and focusing on quality not quantity. Each vine only produces a maximum of two to three glasses.
