Lavender: Plant of the Month for April

Posted on April 27, 2013 by Lavender World

Lavender has been named plant of the month for April by the Horticultural Trades Association.

“Considered a romantic flower that most gardeners get the urge to plant in their garden sooner or later. It can add real value to a garden in many ways with its shades of blue flowers and silver leaved backdrop, its scents and the fact that it attracts all sorts of insects and butterflies.”

Which leads us to endorse two particular varieties as mentioned by the HTA – “Hidcote and “Munstead” are two of the hardiest and most often planted cultivars of lavender,” perfect for your garden this Spring.
