How to Ease Your Festive Induced Aches & Pains

There comes a time, especially around the festive season, when we all need a little helping hand with our aches and pains, whether we are suffering from excessive shopping aches and pains or maybe just the ache of over stretching to pop the angel on the tree, it is always reassuring to know that you can have a few minutes relief from the festive chaos with your trusty essential oils.

There are a multitude of products available from your local pharmacy, but if you are looking for a more natural treatment for your aches and pains we cannot recommend essential oils enough! Not only will you know exactly what is in any products you make it is also free from all those nasty chemicals which can be found in over the counter products.

There are some truly fantastic recipes which you can create for yourself, from massage oils to delightful bath soaks that will not only soothe all of your aches and pains but be an absolute delight for your senses, that is why we have compiled our absolute favourite essential oil recipes to calm our aching muscles, especially after the hectic festive season.

Christmas Shopping Stress Busting Massage Oil

30ml of your chosen carrier oil (Sweet Almond, JoJoba, Grapeseed Oil are some examples)
6 Drops of Clary Sage Oil
2 Drops of Lemon Oil
3 Drops of Lavender Oil

Mix the oils well, store in an air tight, dark glass container.

You will only need 1 teaspoon of the mixture per massage.

Tender Muscles

4 Drops Basil Oil
3 Drops Clove Oil
4 Drops Eucalyptus Oil
6 Drops Lavender Oil
3 Drops Marjoram Oil
4 Drops of Rosemary

30ml of a Good Quality Carrier oil (such as Grapeseed or Sweet Almond Oil)

Mix the oils well, store in an air tight, dark glass container. You will only need 1 teaspoon of the mixture per massage.

Festive Tension Reducing  Blend

30ml of your chosen carrier oil (Sweet Almond, JoJoba, Grapeseed Oil are some examples)
10 Drops of Chamomile Oil
5 Drops of Lavender Oil

Mix the oils well and add to a clean, air-tight dark glass container.

Then when you are in need of a relaxing bath just add a few drops of your handmade blend to your water, jump in and relax.

As you can see the uses for Essential oils are almost endless and the best part is that if you will always know what is being put onto your body as you have created these products yourself. It can also be fantastic fun experimenting and creating your own recipe blends.
